AI VIDEO TOOLS

Luma is a fun little tool which some creators have started to find how to push its boundaries, its potential in the future could be incredible, and works well for animated storyboarding. The annoyances of this software are that it will only generate around 3 seconds of footage for you per clip and they can.

• Realistic 3D Video Creation: Luma AI excels at generating photorealistic 3D video content, perfect for high-end production.
• Time-Saving: Automates complex video creation tasks, significantly reducing production time.
• Free option for 20 creations

• Only 3-5 seconds per clip - this can be extended but usually costs extra in return for a few extra seconds.
2. Runway ML: The All-in-One Creator’s Toolkit
Runway is a surprisingly impressive piece of software, Runway can take a still image and can generate movement of objects, people whilst using camera direction (e.g. pan left or zoom in) it will also, very cleverly, mask objects and predict what is lying behind objects in the image that aren't there.
We tested using the Free version which lets you generate 5 - 10 seconds of footage however, it was only available at certain points of the day to be rendered as they prioritise the queue for paid users, so we do recommend using the paid version if you want the freedom and time saving.
Pros:
• Versatility: Runway ML offers a range of tools for both design and video creation, from image synthesis to real-time video editing.
• User-Friendly Interface: Designed to be accessible to creatives with varying levels of technical expertise.
Cons:
• Processing Time: Complex projects can lead to slow processing times, especially on less powerful machines.
• Limited Free Features: While the basic version is free, many advanced features are locked behind a paywall. Paying members receive priority.

Conclusion
AI tools in design and video creation open up a world of creative possibilities, but they’re not without their quirks. Whether you’re experimenting with DALL-E for visuals or using Luma AI for video, knowing the strengths and limitations of each tool is key to getting the best results.
As a creative agency, we believe that while AI can inspire, humans should always have the final say in design. We use AI to spark ideas, draft storyboards, explore various styles, and push creative boundaries. But let’s be real: AI still struggles. Typography? A nightmare. Hands? Somehow worse. (No, we don’t need seven fingers, thanks.)
AI is a tool, not a replacement. The magic still happens when creativity meets human expertise.
