The Challenge

NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire asked us to create a new website inline with national restructures being rolled out by the NHS across the country.

NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire were one of the first trusts to implement this change and so it was imperative that they followed all regulations and set by example.

The Response

Our web development team worked closely with our design and UX team to create several new page themes complimentary to the existing NHS branding whilst being easily distinguishable from the national NHS website.

It was imperative that the site met accessibility guidelines and so was designed and built with this in mind - including intuitive navigation, high-contrast colour pallets and a translation tool.

The secondary objective of the new ICB site was to attract traffic that would otherwise navigate to the national NHS website, in order to give visitors a more localised response reflective of the services on offer in their region. In addition to targeted SEO, we addressed this by introducing a clear hierarchy of information and tone of voice that was both professional and approachable to gain the trust of the local community.

The Outcome

The result was a website with improved the usability, look and feel.

It was built in a way that allowed internal members of the NHS Notts team to use and update the site with ease.

Who Brought It To Life

Our Developers and Account Manager Kate worked closely to ensure the smooth running of this web project covering customer surveys, UX and accessibility.
