We transformed a dense 50-page government-regulated document into a visually engaging proposal that presented and communicated complex information in a visually engaging way. By managing multiple stakeholders, refining messaging, and integrating clear data visualisations, we created a polished, on-brand publication that provided clarity and impact for an important business proposal.
ITM Power were preparing a high-stakes bid submission for a significant government contract in Western Australia — a market opportunity that demanded both commercial credibility and strict regulatory compliance. The existing source material was dense, complex, and spanning 50 pages; presented as-is, it risked failing to make the impact the opportunity deserved. With multiple internal stakeholders involved and no room for error, the document needed to be transformed into something that communicated ITM's expertise and ambition with clarity, professionalism, and authority.
We worked closely with ITM's internal teams across multiple stakeholder groups to refine the messaging, establish a clear narrative hierarchy, and ensure the document met the regulatory requirements of the Western Australia Government throughout.
The design challenge was significant. It involved transforming a text and data-heavy 50-page document into a visually cohesive, on-brand publication without losing the substance that a government evaluator would need to assess. Graphs and charts were redesigned from the ground up to present complex technical and commercial data clearly and accessibly. Imagery was carefully selected to complement rather than distract, breaking up dense sections of text and maintaining momentum through the document.
The result was a polished, professional pitch document that presented ITM Power at their best to give their bid the visual authority and clarity to stand alongside the strength of their proposition.
FAQs.
Clear communication, a defined process, and a single point of contact makes all the difference when managing a complex official document like this. We establish sign-off stages early, manage feedback consolidation to avoid conflicting revisions, and focus on creating a document that works throughout. For complex projects like ITM's bid submission, that discipline is what keeps quality and timelines intact.
The key is separating the story from the substance. The design should reinforce the information, rather than obscure it. We rebuild data visualisations from scratch where needed, prioritising clarity and hierarchy without stripping out the detail that a technical or government audience needs to see. The goal is a document where even the most complex information feels immediately accessible.
